3-player Game

Players must decide at the beginning of the game if they are going to use 4 or 3 neighborhoods (in which case neighborhood #4 will not be used). Using 3 neighborhoods will make the game more strained!

There are only three gems to win in each port (i.e. the three gems on each 'Ship' card; the large stone now only counts as one gem). The player holding a majority in a neighborhood now wins two gems; the second player wins one gem; the third player wins nothing. …

The Bastion is setup according to the same rule as with 4 players, with the exception of the following:

Each player chooses a Hero and links the corresponding Hero board to the Horde board in front of them. Unlinked Horde boards become Neutral boards.

Clarification: Horde phases for neutral boards are performed differently.

Prepare the deck according to the number of players:

  • Remove 4 Monster cards for each player less than 4 and shuffle the Monster cards
  • Take 8 Monster cards, place them under the Warlord card, then place the remaining Monster cards on top.

The deck is therefore formed thus, from top to bottom: …

Two to four players take the role of alchemists competing to discover the secrets of their mystical art. Points can be earned in various ways, but most points are earned by publishing theories - correct theories. Therein lies the problem.

Players gain knowledge by mixing ingredients and testing the results using a card-scanning app on a tablet or smartphone. They deduce how to make potions that they can sell to adventurers.

Gold pieces can be spent on magical artifacts, which are very powerful but also very expensive. …
