Four Definitions

Match

Whenever tiles touch, the colors of the connecting links must be of the same color - they must match! "Match" is the golden rule of Tantrix.



Gobble

A gobble is a space around the Tantrix surrounded by three or more tiles. A tile placed into a 3-sided space is 'gobbled'. Gobbles are also known as 'forced spaces'.



Loop

A line of one color which passes through the tiles and eventually curves back to join itself is called a loop. Loops do not have to be perfect circles! They can be of any shape, no matter how irregular. …


The following section is a historical and strategic note about the game and is not required for gameplay.

In Undaunted: Normandy, you take the role of a platoon leader in command of a rifle platoon, modelled on the US Army rifle platoons of the Second World War. The platoons consisted of three squads and a command group and were sometimes supplemented with two specialized attachments in the form of a sniper and a mortar team.

Note that historically a mortar squad would not be attached to a rifle platoon but be part of a weapons platoon within the rifle company. …

Setup

Lay out the board, shuffle the 24 Prime Cards, place two pawns on Start for each player, and roll the dice to decide who will play first. You're ready to go!


Object of the Game

See the 101 circle? It's the big red circle at the center of the spiral. The goal of Prime Climb is to land both your pawns on 101 exactly.



Game Play

Players take turns until someone wins by landing both pawns exactly on the 101 circle. You are never allowed to move a pawn past 101. All players begin the game with both pawns at the Start circle, which counts as 0. …



Glossary

Boneyard

This is the face up pile of cards next to the stock. Sacrificed cards are placed on the top of the boneyard.

Buy

Play cards from your hand for their gold value to buy a card from the base of the pyramid.

Cards In Hand

These are cards you have drawn but haven't played yet.

Cards In Play

These are cards already on the table that have been played for their gold value or as actions.

Cost

This is the number in the upper right corner of the card, which must be paid to buy it from the base of the pyramid. …



Components

  • A truncated pyramid board with 16 hollows.

Setup

At the start of the game the spheres are arranged in the reserve area at the foot of the pyramid (Fig. A). The players draw lots for their color.

The player with the light color starts.



Object of the Game

Players attempt to build a pyramid by stacking the 30 spheres. The aim of the game is to place the sphere at the top of the pyramid (fig. E).

The rules below enable players to keep as many spheres as possible. The winner is the player who has been able to keep the greatest number of spheres in his reserve area during the game so as to be the one to put on the last sphere or spheres. …


As long as a Parcel space is still a Parcel space (i.e. not yet a Building), you must play the Parcel Number Action Icon in order to do any of the following:

  • Move a Passenger to this destination (but there is no bonus for doing so).
