Spires are an integral part of asserting dominance in Ankar. They are stationary structures, each controlled by a specific faction. Use them to take out approaching foes and extend your foothold on the world.



Your spires (denoted with a silver border) are unique to your faction. All factions have basic spires that are always available to be constructed.

Some factions also have advanced spires, which must be unlocked through specific fortress advancements before they may be constructed. See your faction's reference sheet for details. …

Setup

  • Open the box and leave the playing field nestled inside.

  • Randomly plant the carrots in the holes so that only their stems are showing. Then, rotate the box so that no one remembers which carrots are where.

Setup

If playing with 4 people, remove all cards of one currency and return to the box. If playing with 3 people, remove all cards of two currencies and return to the box.

Game Play

  1. Select a player to be the Host for the first round. This player will be in charge of the spinner and the timer for the round. All players, including the Host, participate in the word-building fun during each round.

  2. The game features a special dual-use spinner: there is an outer circle containing letters (in yellow) to form words, and an inner circle contain- ing bonus categories (in green).

Survival Tracks

These three tracks on your Character Tray are especially important because nearly everything you do in the game affects them.

  1. Energy - your basic stamina that renews each day.

    Most in-game activities (see: During the Day) deplete your energy Wounds and afflictions limit your half-dead, you won't be able to do as much as you would when healthy and rested.

    The last two slots of the emergy track are red. If the marker reaches one of them, you become Exhausted. This will negatively influence your performance and make you regenerate less energy (see: End of the Day). Despite that, Exhausting yourself is sometimes necessary to avoid something even worse! …


  • Pay attention to your opponents

    Remember that the object of Uno is too lose all your cards and making others gaining cards. Always count the number of cards of your opponents.

Object of the Game

Be the first person to score 10,000 points or more.

To initially get on the scoreboard, you must make a total of 1,000 points in one turn. Once you are on the scoreboard, no minimum score is required.

  • Set the Score Summary Cards out so everyone can see them as reference.

  • Shuffle the rest of the Cards and deal one Card to each player, face up. Keep the Card in front of you, away from the middle of the playing area.
