Description:

Colt Express is a railway-themed family board game where players take on the roles of bandits attempting to rob a 3D train. There are coin purses, jewels and strongboxes scattered throughout the train, but they are protected by a Marshal on board.

Each player chooses which bandit he wants to be and they all have a special differnt power.

The trains has a number of train cars equal to the number of players and each car has some loot. The Marshal and a strongbox start in the Locomotive. The bandits can move from one car to another, run on the roof, punch the other bandits, shoot them, rob the passengers and avoid the marshal.

The player who has the biggest loot at the end of the game is the winner.

Setup

  • Each player chooses a Character, takes the corresponding Character card and places it in front of him. He places the 6 Bullet cards of his colour to the left of his Character card, in the order of the number of Bullets.

    Then he shuffles the 10 Action cards of his colour and places them face-down at his right: these cards are his personal deck. …



The Bandits can be inside the Train 1 or on the roof of a Car 2. The Locomotive is also considered to be a Car. You can be in it or on it.

Thus there are always two possible locations for a Bandit: in or on a Car. At the start of the game, however, no Bandit can be on a roof.

Move

Move your Bandit:

  1. from one Car to the next adjacent Car, forwards or backwards, if he is inside the Train; or
  2. A distance ranging from one to three Cars (your choice), forwards or backwards, if he is on the roof. The Locomotive is considered to be a Car. You can be in it or on it.

If you have plotted this Action, your Bandit cannot stay where he is: you must move him. …



Crossing the plains, the railroad runs along the track that links Des Moines to Bismarck. Stagecoaches are running alongside the Iron Horse in great clouds of dust that you can see for miles.

The passengers of the Wells, Fargo & Company line are dozing when the Colt Express comes up beside their stagecoach. They are not yet aware that a robbery is underway in the train as they cannot see between the heavy leather curtains. Six unscrupulous bandits are riding between the railroad and the track. The passengers will learn the hard way very soon of their misdeeds. …



Once again, the infamous outlaws are schemin' to rob the Union Pacific Express. Marshal Samuel Ford is armed and ready for them, but faces a new opponent: the elusive Mei! The Marshal will have to exercise caution with this one: she's as dangerous as a viper!

The Time Travel Car can be used with or without the first expansion: Horses 8e Stagecoach.

Setup

The Time Travel Car is placed in front of the Locomotive. The remaining set-up should be according to the base game rules.

If you play with the Horses and Stagecoach expansion, you are not allowed to place your Bandit in the Time Travel Car during the Horse attack.

Object of the Game

The Time Travel Car allows you to travel in time and to end up where the other players aren't expecting you. …
