Game Play
-
Draw
The player in the Hot Seat draws 3 cards and reads them privately. They choose one card to play, one to give to another player (optional), and one to discard.
If given a card, the player keeps it face down and must play it on their next turn in the hot seat instead of drawing 3 cards.
-
Answer
Everyone including the player in the Hot Seat writes an answer to the card in play on their answer pad from the perspective of the player in the Hot Seat.
-
Read
The player in the Hot Seat collects the answers and reads all of them out loud.
-
Guess
Moving clockwise, each player guesses which answer was written by the player in the Hot Seat.
-
Reveal
The player in the Hot Seat reveals which answer they wrote.
-
Score
Points are tallied on the score sheet by the player in the Hot Seat. The player to their left is now in the Hot Seat. They draw the next three cards.
House Rules
One and done
The player in the Hot Seat draws one card and must play that card.
Blind Three
The player to the left of the player in the Hot Seat draws three questions and picks their favorite for the player in the Hot Seat.
Originals
The player in the Hot Seat creates an original question when it's their turn.
So True
After everyone has guessed, the player in the Hot Seat picks the most accurate response other than their own. This player receives 2 additional points
End of the Game
The first player to 25 points wins. Points are awarded differently depending on your role in the game.
Player in the Hot Seat
1 point for each player that correctly guesses the answer you wrote.
All other Players
1 point for each player that guesses your answer.
2 points for guessing the player in the Hot Seat's answer correctly.
4 points for responding with the same answer as the player in the Hot Seat (see notes).
Notes
If 2 or more responses are the same, the player in the Hot Seat eliminates them from the round; no player can guess those cards. The exception to this rule is if one of the duplicate responses was written by the player in the Hot Seat.
If that's the case, the player in the Hot Seat announces that another player guessed their response correctly, that player gets 4 points, and the round is over without any guessing.
The player in the Hot Seat can't give any clues to which answer was theirs. If the player in the Hot Seat is having trouble reading the responses they should clarify the answer discreetly.
