Object of the Game

Form words from the letters provided. Score points based on the number of words created. The longer the word, the more points scored.

Player with the most points after 5 Rounds is the Winner

Setup

TextTwist can be played by 1 or more players. This game has components for up to 4 players. For more than 4 players, please provide paper and writing utensils.

Each card features 3 TextTwist challenges per side. Before you begin the game, choose a number from 1-3. This will be the challenge number you will play on 5 cards for that game. (For Example, if you choose "2", you will use the second TextTwist challenge on each card played in that game)

Designate one player (READER) to read the challenges and solutions and to monitor the sand timer.

Give each player an answer board and marker.

Game Play

  1. The READER reads aloud the letters on the card for the first round. ALL PLAYERS write the letters for that round in the spaces at the top of their answer boards.

  2. The READER then reads aloud the number of 3, 4, 5, 6, and

7-letter words that can be created from those letters.

(These are indicated on the card below the letters). ALL PLAYERS record this on their answer boards where indicated.

  3. On the "Go" Command, the READER flips the 2-minute sand timer and ALL PLAYERS write down as many words as they can using the letters provided.

  4. When the 2-minute timer has elapsed, the READER looks up the card and challenge number in THIS Solution Booklet and reads aloud the 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7-letter word solutions.

  5. ALL PLAYERS add their scores for Round 1 and record on "scoreboard" space.

  6. Wipe off all boards, and begin a new round.
