The kind of party game you probably shouldn't play with your mother. Freedom of Speech is a hilarious card game that almost guarantees that you will laugh and have a good time.

The game comes with a deck of 400 cards, each containing a bizarre and silly word, a timer and instructions.

Every other person around the table is on the same team and the rotation moves counter-clockwise. The deck stays at the center of the table and whoever has their turn draws from the deck.

The aim is to get your teammates to guess the word on the card before the timer runs out. However, you cannot say the word that is on the card. In addition, there are other rules, like no rhyming or pointing, that you can find in the full instructions on the website.

Finally, once your team guesses the word, the play moves to the other team immediately. The first team to guess 21 cards correctly wins.

Object of the Game

Every time a player gets their teammates to guess the word on a card, that team keeps that card.

But when their team doesn't guess the word on the card, and the timer goes off, that poor undiscovered card goes into the "dead cards" pile.

To win the game, you must be the first team to collect 21 cards.

Setup

Divide into teams with a minimum of two players on each team. Alternate players around a circle so that each player is seated next to a member of the other team. The play moves counter-clockwise. â€¦

Alternate Game Modes

Blitz

Teams alternate running out the timer and guess as many cards as they can. Team #1 starts the timer and begins guessing cards.

Once one player has finished another player from the same team continues, then another player from the same team goes and so on until the timer runs out.

When the timer runs out it's the other team's turn to guess as many cards as they can in the 60 seconds. First to collect 21 cards wins.
Solo Blitz

The play begins with one person starting the timer and trying to get his/her team to guess as many cards as they can before the timer runs out. The play then moves counter-clockwise to one member of the other team. â€¦
