Object of the Game

Score as many points as possible while completing 6 challenging deep sea quests!

Setup

  • Each player gets a pen, a transparent doodle sheet, and a drawing board. Put your transparent doodle sheet on top of your board.

  • Write each player's name on the scoring sheet.

  • Depending on the ages and experience of the players, pick the challenge level. You can also choose to play with both challenge levels at the same time.

The experienced player(s) completes the black versions of the chosen quests while the beginner player(s) completes the yellow versions.

  • Randomly draw 6 quest cards and place them in an adventure pile with the chosen challenge level facing up.

Game Play

  1. To start a round, place the top quest card from the adventure pile in the center of the table so everybody can see it.

  2. Read the drawing instructions and the legend on the quest card. Study the scene, and when you're ready, complete the quest on your doodle sheet.

Trust your eyes to guide your pen so that your drawing fulfills the quest requirements and fits into the scene.

  3. Once everyone has finished drawing, players take turns placing their doodle sheets over the quest card to score their drawings.

Referring to the legend on the quest card, add up your points and write it by your name on the scoring sheet.

  4. Erase the drawing on your doodle sheet.

Put the next quest card in the center of the table and start a new round.

Important Notes:
  • The starfish is a bonus. You score 1 additional point whenever your drawing hits a starfish, even if you failed the quest.

  • You are not allowed to take measurements or draw zigzags or loops to help you complete the quest.

  • Other players collectively act as referees for questions related to scoring.

End of the Game

The game ends when all 6 quests in the adventure pile have been completed. Total your points on the scoring sheet.

The player with most points wins Doodle Quest!
